How To Print

If you would like to print one of Alan's photos, then simply contact him here and let him know which photo you would like. Please ensure you include the photo's code in the message (The code can be found by clicking on the photo).

Photos are offered free with the proviso that a donation is made to either Portishead in Bloom or Portishead Christmas lights. There is a charge for the use of any image for commercial purposes. Details of pricing can be provided upon request.

The photographs on this site are very low resolution images – high quality, large files that are suitable for printing/enlargement will be sent to you by email.

The jpeg file that you will receive by email can be taken to Nortech Computers on the High Street, Portishead for printing using the Kodak professional system or uploaded to an on-line printing service such as Snapfish, Photobox, My Picture and Whitewall. You can enter these sites by clicking on the links below. Whitewall is a well known service used by professionals and provides very high quality prints but is more expensive.

In most cases the files are suitable for printing up to A3 size which is 16.5 x 11.7 inch. This is to keep the jpeg file down to an email manageable size. I can, if requested, provide larger files that can be sent to you via wetransfer.com for printing up to 27.5 x 18.4 inch at 300ppi.

On-line printing services can provide prints of all sizes and have a choice of matte and glossy paper (and silk and velvet in some cases). Also, they do canvas prints and ready framed prints as well as other specialties such as printing onto metal.
