About alan

Alan moved to Portishead with his family in 1987. He is a retired Professor of Dental Care of the Elderly at Bristol University. He also spent 33 years in the Territorial Army and commanding two RAMC(V)  hospital units with the rank of Colonel.

 

​Alan's son, Mark, is a professional commercial photographer based in North Yorkshire. They have a shared passion for photography and Alan loves exploring Portishead and taking photos of his local town. You can regularly find Alan's photos in the Facebook groups: Portishead Pics, Posset Pages and Hello Portishead.
